What is an ONA Grant?

Please contact us if you can not see our free burial insurance quote form (below).

ONA Grants (or “Other Needs Assistance”, not “Oh not again”) can sometimes be used to help with burial and funeral costs. The ONA Grant is offered by the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA). They are designed to cover various “other needs” including helping people who have lost the ability to look after themselves due to some kind of disaster, man made or naturally occurring.

What Can ONA Grants Help With?

ONA Grants really do cover a multitude of uses, and are designed to go “where no grant has gone before”. They can help with:

  • Replacing possessions lost through some disaster
  • Pay for housing repairs (because of a disaster)
  • Funeral costs – only if the victim is in financial need because of some sort of disaster.

On second thoughts, maybe ”Oh Not Again” would be a good name for a disaster grant!
